The customer restorations are keeping the radio shop busier than ever. That and with the jukebox business growing, I decided to stop buying and selling radios. We held a huge sale of over 400 radios in February 2017 to liquidate the inventory.

RCA TABLE RADIO


This is a fully restored AM table radio
painted in a unique 2-tone of Green Bay Packers Yellow and Green.






 


1950s TABLE RADIO

This is a fully restored AM table radio pink with the original white plastic insert.

The chassis has been completely restored with all defective and parts past their life span replaced.  The tubes are either new or test as new.

A new line cord and full alignment to factory specifications completed the restoration process.

This is a restored Grunnow Deco AM table radio.
















Paramount Wooden Table Radio

 

 

The wooden case was re-finished to the original luster. A new dial scale was fabricated. A new period grill cloth was installed. The chassis has been completely restored with all capacitors and defective or parts past their life span replaced. 



1940s Belmont 6D111 Bakelite Radio
 
This is a restored Deco-style Belmont table radio. The cabinet has been painted in metallic green acrylic with clear-coat. The original dial insert is in perfect condition.

 

 


1939 Philco Bakelite Radio
 
This is a restored Transitone model TH-4 AM table radio. 

The cabinet has been painted in eggshell enamel with clear-coat. The original dial insert is in perfect condition.

 




Brewster Bakelite Table Radio

 

This model 9-1084 radio was made in 1946. It has an extra RF amplification stage and picks up the Foreign Shortwave band with an external antenna.

 

                                 Trav-Ler Plastic Table Radio

 

This model T-201 radio was made in 1959.

 

The white plastic case was polished and the pink insert re-painted. 

 



Transitone Wooden Table Radio

 

This radio was made in 1938 by the Philco company.

 

The wooden case was re-finished to the original luster. A new plastic dial cover was fabricated. A new period grill cloth was installed. 

 


 

Vintage Sentinel Swirled-Plastic Table Radio

 

This radio was made in Evanston, IL in 1950. It is a 3-way portable type in that it operates on 115 vac, 115 vdc, and batteries. The polished case is all original.

 

The chassis has been completely restored with all defective and parts past their life span replaced.  



 

     1940s Mantola

Wooden Table Radio


This radio was made in 1946 and sold by the B.F. Goodrich Company. The wooden case was re-finished to the original luster. A new plastic dial cover was fabricated. A new period grill cloth was installed.

 

The chassis has been completely restored with all defective and parts past their life span replaced.  The 5 tubes are either new or test as new. A new line cord, and full alignment to factory specifications completed the restoration process.




 

       Fada Bakelite       

           Table Radio


This model 740 radio was made in 1947.

 

The Bakelite case was re-painted in satin finish butterscotch enamel. The chassis has been completely restored with all defective and parts past their life span replaced.  








RESTORED HOWARD “CATHEDRAL” RADIO

 

This is a high quality version of the typical table radio from the 1930s. While most radios of this style were simply bent plywood, this cabinet has hardwood reinforcing and stunning veneers.

 

This example was built in 1932. The case has been re-finished and has a new grill cloth.

 

The chassis was restored including all new capacitors, and any out-of-tolerance resistors replaced. All 7 tubes are either new or test as new.

 
 

 1960s Plastic Radio

 

We call this “The Rock”. This is a restored Coronado “Musette” model radio finished in gray granite and white.

 

The chassis has been completely restored with all defective and parts past their life span replaced.  The 5 tubes are either new or test as new. A new line cord, and full alignment to factory specifications completed the restoration process.

 

 
1949 Admiral Bakelite Radio
 
This is a restored model 5X12 AM table radio. 

The cabinet has been painted in blue enamel with clear-coat. The original dial insert is in perfect condition.

 

The chassis has been completely rebuilt with all capacitors and parts past their life span replaced.  The 5 tubes are either new or test as new. A new line cord and full alignment to factory specifications completed the restoration process.

 


 
 

1958 Philco Table Radio

 

This is a restored model F813 Series Plastic radio with the  original pink finish.

 

The chassis has been completely restored with all defective and parts past their life span replaced.  The 5 tubes are either new or test as new. Full alignment to factory specifications completed the restoration process.

 


 
 
1946 Sentinel Bakelite Radio
 
This is an unusually restored model 923W AM table radio. It is top–of–the–line in every way.

 

This cabinet has been painted in a unique 2-tone of Metallic Canary Yellow and Arctic White. There is a coat of Automotive DuPont Sealer, Primer, Enamel and Clear-coat with hand wet-sanding between each coat.

 
 
1946 Emerson Bakelite Radio
 

This is a completely restored model 9LW-34415 AM table radio.

 

The cabinet has been painted in a typical 1950s color scheme of Aqua and Ivory. The original dial insert is in good condition.

 


 

PHILCO Model 70 Radio

This beautiful example of the classic bent plywood table radios was built in 1931 and called the “Baby Grand”. It has 7 tubes. The “Grand” was the slightly larger model 90 with 9 tubes and slightly better performance.

 

The finish on this case is original. It has only been cleaned and polished. The speaker and grill cloth is original.



WESTERN-ROYAL  Radio

This is a typical wooden table radio from the 1940s. The case has been re-finished. The chassis is restored including all new capacitors, and any out-of-tolerance resistors replaced. All of the tubes are either new or test as new. A new speaker was fitted. Full alignment to factory specifications completed the restoration. This set has a tone control for great fidelity.


 

 
1938 PHILCO Table Radio

 

This Philco model 38-62 wooden table radio has two reception bands, AM and what used to be the Police band (now, very low shortwave band). 

 

The case has been re-finished. The chassis is restored including all new capacitors, and any out-of-tolerance resistors replaced. All of the tubes are either new or test as new.



  

1940 RCA Bakelite Radio  

This is a vintage Bakelite RCA model 15X AM 6-Tube Radio finished in High-Gloss Orange enamel. It has very good tone for a radio of this size.  It even has a tone switch for best fidelity. The chassis has been completely restored with all defective and parts past their life span replaced.  The tubes are either new or test as new. Full alignment to factory specifications completed the restoration.




1954 Zenith AM/FM Bakelite Table Radio

 This is a wonderful Vintage Bakelite Zenith model 7L05 AM/FM Tube Radio finished in red enamel. It has very good tone for a radio of this size.  FM reception is decent with the built-in line cord antenna.

The chassis has been completely restored with all defective and parts past their life span replaced. 




1950 RCA Bakelite Table Radio

This is a completely restored model 9X641 AM/Shortwave table radio. The case has been finished in a typical 1950s two-tone of hot pink and ivory. The original dial insert is in perfect condition.


The chassis has been completely restored with all defective and parts past their life span replaced.The 6 tubes are either new or test as new. A new line cord and full alignment to factory specifications completed the restoration process.


 

 1947 RCA Wooden Table Radio
This is a completely restored model 61-3 AM table radio. The cabinet has been refinished using several coats of clear lacquer. The original dial glass is in perfect condition.

 

The chassis has been completely restored with all defective and parts past their life span replaced.  A new loudspeaker was installed. The 6 tubes are either new or test as new.


 

 1951 Zenith AM/FM Bakelite Table Radio

 

This is a Vintage Bakelite Zenith model R723 AM/FM Tube Radio with the original polished Bakelite finish. The original grill cloth is excellent.  FM reception is good with the built-in line cord antenna. Zenith FM table radios typically have surprising fidelity for their size. 

   

 

1938 Mantola Model 461-5SL Bakelite Table Radio








1942 Zenith 7S-657 Floor Model Radio

 

This is a completely restored 7 tube, 3 band model 7-S-657 receiver from 1942. Zenith was arguably the highest quality of the mass-produced radios in the era. This set has 2 shortwave bands plus AM broadcast. The built-in antenna for AM may be rotated for the best reception.


The cabinet has been refinished using several coats of clear lacquer. The original knobs and dial glass are in perfect condition. A replica grill cloth is installed.

The chassis has been completely restored with all defective and parts past their life span replaced.  The 7 tubes are either new or test as new. A new line cord, full alignment to factory specifications, and several hours of listening completed the restoration process.







1941 PHILCO FLOOR MODEL RADIO

 

This is a 1941 7-tube Philco console radio. It used a highly sensitive “XXL” tube for excellent reception. The pushbuttons may be tuned to any broadcast band station. It has two bands of shortwave for foreign broadcasts. 


The cabinet has been meticulously restored down to the faux zebrawood surrounding the dial. An authentic pattern grill cloth was installed. The chassis is restored including all new capacitors, any out-of-tolerance resistors and a new power cord. All the tubes are either new or test as new. Full alignment to factory specifications completed the restoration.


1968 GE “MICKEY MOUSE” CLOCK-RADIO

This is a classic Disney radio from the General Electric Youth Division. It features a hand painted tuning knob and transistorized circuitry.

The controls have been cleaned, clock mechanism lubricated, and checked for proper operation.


 



Crosley Model B7TL


Nice Pre-WWII bakelite table radio finished in metallic green lacquer with clear-coat.

The chassis has been completely restored with all defective and parts past their life span replaced.


A new speaker and dial window were required. The 5 tubes are either new or test as new.

A new line cord and full alignment to factory specifications completed the restoration process.

 




1934 Belmont Model 550 Wooden Table Radio

 

This is an early two band superhetrodyne table radio with AVC. It receives standard AM broadcasts and the 1.5 to 14 Mhz shortwave band. As with most radio receivers of this vintage, an external antenna is necessary for good reception.


The chassis has been completely restored with all defective and parts past their life span replaced.  The 5 tubes are either new or test as new. A new line cord and full alignment to factory specifications completed the restoration process.


The case was re-finished and a new replica grill cloth installed.



1950 Majestic Model 5M10 “Zephyr” Bakelite Table Radio

 This is a gorgeous vintage Bakelite tube radio with the original “marbled” finish. There are no cracks and the case has been polished to bring out the original design. The original dial glass is in perfect condition. The back is also original.


The chassis has been completely restored with all defective and parts past their life span replaced. The 5 tubes are either new or test as new. A new line cord and full alignment to factory specifications completed the restoration process.

Admiral Plastic Table Radio

 1947 vintage table radio with original black finish.

 The chassis has been completely restored with all defective and parts past their life span replaced.


A new dial indicator was fabricated. The 5 tubes are either new or test as new. A new line cord and full alignment to factory specifications completed the restoration process.

 


 

 

1941 Airline Model 14BR-685A Wooden Table Radio

This beautiful 1941 table radio was designed to be used anywhere because it could run on batteries, D.C power, or A.C. power. It is a 2-band receiver with standard AM broadcast and Short-Wave reception. There are push-buttons that may be set to your favorite stations. This was a high quality radio with an extra RF tube and a tone control. With a short (20 feet or so) wire, shortwave reception is possible.

 


1946 Crosley Bakelite Table Radio

Nice 1946 vintage model 56TU (O) table radio finished in orange lacquer with clear-coat.


The chassis has been completely restored with all defective and parts past their life span replaced. A new dial indicator was fabricated. The 5 tubes are either new or test as new. A new line cord and full alignment to factory specifications completed the restoration process.



 

 

 
1933 Philco Model 89B Wooden Cathedral Radio

This is a two-band superhetrodyne table radio. It receives standard AM broadcasts and a shortwave band. As with most radio receivers of this vintage, an external antenna is necessary for good reception.


The chassis has been completely restored with all defective and parts past their life span replaced.  The tubes are either new or test as new. A new line cord and full alignment to factory specifications completed the restoration process.
